Wire Size Conversion

One of the "common things that divides us" is the different ways that the US and Europe specify their cable sizes. Consequently, threads in our discussion group which make reference to, for example, 12 gauge speaker cable are somewhat lost on us Euro types (and possibly those in Asia and Australia?)

Just as a comparison, I've included the conversion between some typical AWG (American Wire Gauges) that we use in audio and the equivalent CSA (Cross Sectional Area in square millimetres) below.....
